Peek Aren't You Curious For Kids

Line We Love: Peek . . . Aren't You Curious's Inspiring and Educational Designs

View in slideshow

In an age when popular chains are still selling shirts that encourage girls to celebrate their looks rather than their brains, it's always refreshing to see a company that gets it right. For years, that's just what Peek . . . Aren't You Curious has been doing. On a mission to design quality clothes with positive messages, it's one brand that parents and kids can agree is age-appropriate and cool. From sweet Liberty print dresses and tunics for girls to soft plaid button-downs and hoodies for boys, the line is full of school-worthy picks for newborns through tweens.

But my favorite aspect of Peek's line are its graphic tees and sweatshirts celebrating historical quotes, geography sites, and education. Case in point: a girl's t-shirt from the Fall 2013 collection that features a colorful DNA helix. At first the shirt just looks pretty, but read the back, and you'll see that it was designed in honor of biologist Rosalind Franklin, whose work was essential to understanding the structure of DNA. But it isn't only girlswear that is inspiring; the boys' collection includes a sweatshirt with the symbol for pi on the front. The back features the first 58 numbers that make up the mathematical unit.

Intrigued? We thought you'd be! Keep reading for eight of our favorite picks from Peek's new Fall collection.
