The Price of Baby Wipes

Wet Wipes Add Up! Unit Price of Popular Brands

What mom can live without wipes? When tending to a mess, most mothers don't count how many they use, but the disposable wet tissues certainly add up! Some families use up to a pack a day and continue to buy the wipes to tidy hands and keep clean long after their kids are out of diapers. On average, one wipe costs about 5 to 6 cents with green and conventional nappies at similar price points. Check out these figures based on solo packs.

  • Pampers Sensitive — 64 count ($3.49) = 5.4 cents per wipe
  • Huggies Natural Care Unscented — 72 count ($3.69) = 5.1 cents per wipe
  • Natural Babycare Eco-Sensitive Wipe — 70 count ($3.79) = 5.4 cents per wipe
  • Seventh Generation — 70 count ($4.69) = 6.7 cents per wipe
  • Earth's Best Tendercare — 80 count ($4.49) = 5.6 cents per wipe
  • Mustela Diaper Change Cleansing and Soothing — 70 count ($10.99) = 15.7 cents per wipe

Buying wipes in bulk can save families a good chunk of change.

We love Bum Boosa Wipes and get a great deal since we figured out that you can get - 80 count (4.99) + use a code FBBUM10 Coupon = 5.6 per wipe! You can get free shipping over $65 at the Bum Boosa website, and if you return empty packaging in exchange for more coupons you can actually get to 4.8 cents per wipe. I buy the 42 count Pampers Kandoo wipes using the $1 off any one Pampers coupons that come out regularly. I don't buy them unless the final price is $0.25 a pack, making them half a cent each. :) I don't actually have any children yet, but I'm pretty accident prone and I keep them in the car for particularly sticky messes. Of course, they are great to stockpile for when we do have kiddos, you can never have too many wipes!

I buy Seventh Generation in bulk (about 4.5 cents per wipe). They are pricey, but I love that they are an environmentally conscious company. And, the wipes come in the disposable bags so they are great for on-the-go!

Schnappycat - I agree! You can't beat the cost of the Costco ones and I have found the quality to be great too!

I buy my Pampers Fragrance Free wipes at Target in a pack of 504. The box costs $10.99 but I use coupons I get in the diaper packs to get an extra $1 off, meaning my wipes cost 1.9 cents each. They're actually cheaper than the Target house brand!
