Sarah Stage Claps Back at Mommy Shamers

Sarah Stage Swiftly Shut Down "Medical Experts" on Instagram โ€” and It's Everything

No matter what other moms do with their kids, it seems there's another mama waiting in the shadows of social media to take them down. And fitness guru Sarah Stage is no exception โ€” despite being eight months pregnant with her second baby.

The blogger took to Instagram on Tuesday to say she's sick of being shamed or bullied for her parenting choices, especially when it comes to how much she exercises.

"I've had certain 'Instagram medical experts' tell me what I should and shouldn't do.," wrote Stage. "And while I find some of the comments hilarious, I choose to only listen to my OB-Gyn and, of course, I also listen to MY body."

The message there? Back off, haters. And there's more where that came from. While Stage clearly makes going to the gym a priority, she also knows when to pull back the reins.

"If something feels off, I don't do it! I always do what's best for my growing baby and put him first! It's a proven medical fact that continuing exercising while pregnant has many health benefits for you and baby," she explained.

Stage also said that although she's been exercising regularly, she's not vain about it: "There are also some people who assume that since I am exercising while pregnant, that I'm obsessed with how I 'look' but in fact I'm obsessed with maintaining a healthy lifestyle that will give my baby and myself the best possible quality of life."

For those who choose to go a different route during pregnancy, she won't be shaming you.

As she wrote: "I don't judge anyone who chooses to not be active while pregnant, as it's their own life."
