Serena and Lily Market Slings

Serena and Lily Take Slings to Market

What mama would want to ruin her outfit with an unsightly sling? Linen makers, Serena and Lily, have expanded their foothold on the world of simply chic baby design with the introduction of their Market Sling, a 100 percent organic cotton, hand-embroidered sling.

The carriers feature soft brushed interiors and are one seamless piece of fabric — free of buckles, belts and straps. The Market Sling ($129) will be available beginning in June, but you can pre-order it now on their site.

I find a good sling (one-shouldered, obviously) to be far more comfortable throughout the years than two-shouldered carriers other than Mei Tais. Just not in the placement shown in the picture.

Too expensive. I agree that there are some unsightly slings out there! But you can find some cute ones for $45 as well. I will say that I can only wear it for about an hour, though. I intend to get lots of work done while wearing it, but it is nearly impossible.

This is really gorgeous, but it doesn't look comfortable. I've worn enough one-shoulder carriers to know what you can actually wear and what just looks good, and unfortunately thios looks good but when baby gets heavier or if you need it for an hour or more, I'm pretty sure it won't be worth the money.

Cute, but for the price tag I could buy 3 others. And Wren, I once rescued a kitty with separation anxiety. For the first couple of days she lived with us, I carried her in my DD's sling.

I wonder if this company gets GG emails? I do like the look of the sling--but it's out of my price range.

Every babywearer knows a sling that rests that high on your neck is NOT comfortable. And hey, just get different slings to match different outfits! And they DO make dog slings. I'm sure your whippet (?) would love a ride. -Ella

very pretty but I agree with the previous poster... I don't think most slings are unsightly.

That is absolutely gorgeous. I wish I could afford one. Although I don't think my current sling and Mei Tai are unsightly or ruin my outfit. :) The sling's a pouch so no rings or buckles. Still, something like that would be my dream sling. Except I don't like the flap at the shoulder that looks like it's velcroed. I know it's not, it just has that look to it.
