Sniffle Buddies: Kid Friendly or Are You Kidding?

Ah-choo! You know cold and flu season is at its peak because sniffling tots can be seen everywhere. Though the H1N1 scare had many of us teaching our lil ones to cough and sneeze into a tissue or their elbows, a child's sleeve is often more enticing.

Sniffle Buddies ($10), a sweatband-like piece of fabric, are designed to catch the sneezes, sniffles and runny noses that usually end up on a child's sleeve. Made from organic bamboo and cotton, the antibacterial and anti-fungal wristbands can be tossed in the washing machine and reused throughout the Winter sick season.

Would you try out these sneeze catchers?

I would rather teach my kid to use a tissue. If he learns to wipe his noes on the band around his wrist, he will end up using his sleeve when he is not wearing his "portable tissue." I'm sure every kid uses their sleeve at some point, but why get them in the habit?

I kinda like this idea although it seems to teach children to use their clothes rather than a tissue...
