Teacher Sues City After First Grader Assaults Him (VIDEO)

Teacher Sues City After First Grader Assaults Him (VIDEO)

Who is responsible when a child get violent and seriously hurts someone at school?

As PIX 11 reports, the city of New York is being sued by public school teacher John Webster over the violent behavior of a first grade boy in a school in Queens. The child, who apparently had a history of physical outbursts, fractured Webster's ankle and tore his meniscus when the teacher tried to subdue him in a stairwell last April.

Webster is suing the city on the grounds that the school's administrators knew about the boy's violent tendencies and failed to inform and prepare teachers who would be dealing with him.
