Life changes once a lil one enters the picture. The spontaneity a mama previously enjoyed often gives way to routines and sleep schedules, making mom wistful for her pre-baby days. If a hot tub time machine really did exist, I'd use it to tell my pre-motherhood self to:
- Travel more! Yes, you can travel with kids, but sightseeing in a foreign city with tots in tow is more difficult.
- Get off the couch! Even if you're exhausted from a long week at work, don't pass up opportunities to hang out with your friends until the wee hours of the morning.
- Create an organization method that works. Because after kids it is much easier to continue with old practices than it is to create new ones.
If you could impart words of wisdom to your pre-baby self, what would they be?
