Breakfast doesn't need to be a big rush, so take a few moments to sit with your child and enjoy a delicious meal, which sets the tone for a successful day thanks to a bit of breakfast fun. With only a few minutes of prep, you can offer your child a variety of sliced fruits for creating edible art, leaving her happy and full of big smiles. And all of these cute ideas can easily be made with young kids — my 6-year-old loved playing with her food!

Happy Bee

After warming a Toaster Strudel, use a drinking glass to make a circle base for the bee. Then cut a head, an antennae, and a little stinger from the remaining pastry. Now your child can create the rest of the bee using lines of blueberries, banana wings, a peach mouth, and bits of kiwi as eyes. Use the icing to secure all the flaky goodness in place, then eat!

Fresh Flowers

Create a budding bouquet of pastry flowers with a cookie cutter, then arrange on kiwi stick stems on top of sliced Toaster Strudel faux ground. The icing fills in the flowers, and a blueberry makes the vibrant center. Each flower bursts with ooey-gooey yumminess.

Cute Bunny

This adorable and simple bunny comes together after cutting a pastry base using a drinking glass and a lovely layer of icing. Cut the end of a banana and then slice in half to create big bunny ears, slice ends of strawberries for eyes and a triangle banana nose, and slice remaining Toaster Strudel for whiskers. So cute!

Fishbowl

After using a glass to cut a circle from a warm and gooey Toaster Strudel, offer your child the icing pouch to outline the waves, and then fill in the underwater area. Top with blueberries, and help your child form a fish with the remaining pastry. Use any remaining icing to add an eye to your cute fishy.

Gentle Lion

This was the fan favorite at our house! Cut a circle from a Toaster Strudel with a drinking glass, then trim ears and whiskers from the remaining pastry. Slice a few strawberries and invite your child to arrange around the circle, creating the mane of the lion, with dribbles of the icing holding everything together. Add the ears and a banana slice for a nose. Peach slices create a smiling mouth, and the pastry whiskers finish the breakfast.
