Not much of a seamstress, my mom's sewing skills end at threading a needle or reattaching a button.

So when we were lil and our hems needed a quick fix, she came up with a sticky solution — duct tape.

This is definitely a temporary solution as my siblings and I still laugh about how the adhesive used to stick to the back of our legs on hot days! But for a busy mom who hasn't had time to get clothes to a professional, this trick is tailor made.

i used a stapler for a hem once, lol. also to put daisy badges on the apron :ROTFL:

I used to do that! Back in the mid-90's before capri's were a trend, I did it myself with some trousers and duct tape. I was trying to copy Audrey Hepburn. lol Duct tape is a freaking way of life where I live. We even have an annual charity ball where people come dressed in black-tie adorned with duct tape and just about everything is touched by it- even the napkin rings. :D
