Tricks My Mama Taught Me: Washcloth

As moms, we receive advice from just about everyone. But some of the most solid input comes from those old hands at raising children — our own mothers.

So I'm kicking off this new feature with a trick my mom swears by — the washcloth. To see the tip,

.

Raising four children on the go created quite a few sticky hands. But wary of the chemicals in 1980s diaper wipes and not wanting to run back and forth to mall and park bathrooms all day, my mom kept four wet washcloths (a different color for each kid) in Ziploc baggies in her purse for quick clean ups. They also came in handy for car spills and other lil messes.

If you have a tip you'd like to share or have featured on lilsugar, submit it to the Tricks My Mama Taught Me group on TeamSugar. Or post it in the comments.

Just don't forget them in your bag. You could dig to the bottom and find a nice science project one day!
