Put the pen to the paper with a baby log book. The most traditional method for communicating, preprinted notebooks include spaces for recording lil one's feedings, bowel movements, naps, and daily activities.
Pros: Mama has a hard copy of her tot's daily routine and can refer back to it to determine trends. Log books can also be helpful when providing the doctor with updates on how junior is doing.
Cons: Not the most environmentally friendly option, log books also can be the source of much tension if either mom or the nanny forgets to record information. They can also be misplaced, causing panic (or at least ill feelings) in those who rely on them.
