Five Ways to Communicate With Your Nanny

They work in your office, so why not at home? Post-It notes allow mom to scribble notes as she thinks of them, rather than having to carry a large notebook around all day.

Pros: Mama can carry a pad around in her tote, jotting down thoughts as they come to mind. They can be placed anywhere: the note reminding the nanny to take Junior's backpack to the playground can be placed on the door, and a reminder about lunch can be stuck on the fridge.

Cons: Post-Its are great for little notes, but won't help in terms of keeping an ongoing journal about baby. Also, they tend to fall from their intended locations, meaning the recipient of the information may never see it.
