Wee Are the World: This Shirt Can Save a Life

Clothing can make a difference. Tiny Revolution, the popular T-shirt line known for their earth-friendly and sweatshop-free practices has partnered with the Africa Aid Foundation to sell its This Shirt Saved a Life ($38) tee. For about the price of what it costs to take your tot out to lunch, you can feed a student in the Buduburam Refugee Settlement in Ghana for an entire year. So buy the 100 percent cotton shirt for the lil love of your life and give another child the nourishment they need since $20 of the purchase price will go directly to Africa Aid.

Wow, this is great! My son happened to see a news clip on CNN about refugee camps and asked me why more people didn't help them, so we had a pretty long discussion about what causes people to leave their homes, etc, and what we could possibly do to help them. This could be a great teaching tool...I will have him buy it with money from his "piggy bank" and he can feel proud in helping! Thanks so much for the post! (sorry I rambled on there! :-( )
