You NEED to Talk to Your Kids About the New and Dangerous "Deodorant Challenge"

Jamie Prescott is sending a warning to other parents after her teen daughter got a burn participating in something called the "Deodorant Challenge" at school (which comes on the heels of the "Condom Snorting Challenge"). Although the family lives in the UK and Prescott says the challenge is going around her community, other parents have commented on her now-viral Facebook post to say their own children have also done the challenge with friends where they live.

"For any parents who have children, please, please sit them down and show them these pictures," Prescott wrote. "These are the damaging results of something known as 'The Deodorant Challenge,' which . . . literally involves spraying deodorant onto someone else for as long as possible. It's that simple and results in severe secondary burns."

The mom shared three photos of her daughter's arm to show the progression of the burn, which three weeks later, still isn't completely healed. "The pictures below are that of my Year 10 daughter's arm THREE WEEKS ON, which may still as yet require a skin graft," Prescott shared.

Parents, even if your kids have never heard of this challenge, be sure to talk to them about the dangers of it, and even share the photos with them if you're worried it's the type of thing they or their friends would think is "fun."
