Corn has become the symbol for genetically engineered foods, but it really isn't corn that's the problem. According to Dr. Forman, genetically engineered corn is modified to be resistant to pesticides — like Round-Up — so super-weeds and stronger insects are appearing in fields and farmers are using stronger pesticides to kill them. It's the presence of these stronger pesticides in genetically engineered foods that make them dangerous.
