How These Parents Turned a $20 Goodwill Find Into a Tricked-Out Kitchen Playset

Sure, when your budding chef wants his or her own kitchen playset, you can shell out a minimum of $60 on an all-plastic one, but where's the fun in that? For their son's second birthday, these parents decided to put their DIY skills to use by making a tricked-out minikitchen themselves — out of an old wooden entertainment center that they found at Goodwill for a mere $20.

The finished product — complete with a refrigerator door covered with chalkboard paint, a faucet, and a "working" stovetop — is a sight to behold, and judging from their son's response when he unwrapped it, we're sure the lucky 2-year-old is cooking up something good.

Take a closer look at all the tricked-out features of this kitchen playset, and for a complete look at every step of the project, see all the photos on Imgur.
