This Watercolor Safari Baby Shower Brings a New Elegance to the Jungle

With a modern safari shower, this baby is born to be wild!

For Ashley's lunchtime celebration, the mom-to-be envisioned a sophisticated safari theme and Katherine Kommer, of Baby Showers Inc., delivered an elevated event with a blue, green, and orange color palette. "We wanted to stay away from the cartoon-like safari animals that are most commonly found when seeking décor for this particular theme, so we made an effort to think outside of the box and create something a little more modern and sophisticated," Katherine explained.

The ladies came across a watercolor painting of safari animals and used this as the source of inspiration for the rest of the event. They customized the artwork on Etsy to complement their color scheme and integrated the animal silhouettes throughout the décor.

Bamboo and lush greenery gave the tablescapes a natural vibe while hand-painted sugar cookies and macaroons added color to the elaborate dessert table. To complete the jungle theme, mini lotus pods and feather accents were incorporated into the hydrangea, green fern, blue thistle, ranunculus, and cymbidium orchid arrangements.
