This Little Girl Had a Waffle House-Themed Birthday Party, and OMG, Pass the Syrup

Amy Beth Gardner will do literally anything possible to make sure her adopted daughters, Bridgett and Breonna, experience the true joys of childhood after being bounced around from foster home to foster home as young children. So when Bridgett asked to have her ninth birthday party at Waffle House, her all-time favorite restaurant, Amy Beth pulled out all the stops to make her special day particularly memorable. In a recent Facebook post, she explained exactly why she doesn't mind going above and beyond for her girls:

One of the struggles I have faced as an adoptive mother is grieving the time that was lost to us before the girls came to live with us. That grief is complicated by the knowledge that Bridgett has a rare heart defect that was not properly addressed prior to her coming to live with us. She has spent more than her fair share of time in emergency rooms and hospital beds since we met her. I've been right by her side every single time learning a fascinating lesson: grief can be a gift if you will let it.

The crafty mama got busy gathering aprons and name tags, ordering a custom waffle-themed cake and bacon and waffle cookies, and putting together a slew of games for her guests. And let's be honest: we're insanely jealous of the result.
