Things got extraterrestrial on Saturday Night Live [1] this week when the United States found itself facing an alien invasion from a made-up planet, Zorblatt 9. In the five-minute cold open, President Donald Trump [2], once again played by Alec Baldwin [3], explains his plan (or lack thereof) to defeat the intruders. "We're going to bring coal back," Trump said. "We're gonna have so much coal, you're gonna say 'Where did all this coal come from? I never knew there could be so much coal!'"
When Trump is later informed that the "highly advanced" aliens are telepathic and have invisible ships, Trump quickly comes to the defense of the aliens. "We don't know that they are from Zorblatt 9. I actually heard Zorblatt 9 is very beautiful. Very fantastic," Trump says before one of the military men questions if Trump has business ties with the aliens.
The best part of the skit happens when the aliens finally arrive to the military base and discover that Trump, of all people, is actually the leader of the country. Watch the hilarity unfold in the video above.
