Jolene Jackinsky had the chance meeting of a lifetime when she ran into former President Barack Obama at Anchorage International Airport on Monday, July 3. The Alaska native shared the details [1] about her epic encounter with Associated Press. Initially Jackinsky said she thought she saw a man who looked like Barack Obama sitting in the terminal. "As I got closer, I thought: Oh my God, it is Obama," she recalled.
True to his nature [2], Obama spotted Jackinsky's 6-month-old daughter, Giselle, and walked over to them. "Who is this pretty girl?" he quipped. Not long after, Jackinsky took a selfie with the 44th president, who smiled while holding her baby girl — Gisele was wearing the most adorable straw hat with a white ribbon at the time. Jackinsky said she spoke briefly with Obama about how fast children grow up before Giselle's father joined them. "I'm taking your baby," Obama teased.
"It was a moment that will last forever," Jackinsky said after sharing the photo on her Facebook page. "I think it's unreal and pretty exciting that I get to have a picture with him and my baby.
