On March 24, Americans across the nation will call for gun control in hundreds of March For Our Lives rallies [1]. The goal: to demand stricter gun safety laws, and to end the disturbing and seemingly endless string of school and community shootings in the United States. The rallies come on the heels of the national school walkouts [2] that occurred across the nation on March 14. We've already whipped up a selection of printable signs [3] to help you send a loud-and-clear message at your local march, but now we have news of another great resource: a free ride.
Ahead of the weekend, Lyft has offered free rides [4] to March For Our Lives events in 50 cities across America. The company has partnered with protest organizers and committed up to $1.5 million in free travel in the cities identified.
According to Lyft's blog post on the effort, all you have to do is RSVP to your local March For Our Lives rally [5], and Lyft will issue ride codes on Friday, March 23. If you aren't able to RSVP, you can obtain a ride code on Lyft's site [6] beginning the morning of the march. We're sure you're already fired up enough to find your own way there, but thanks to Lyft, now it's even easier to make sure your voice is heard.
