Ivanka Trump may have crafted an entire brand empire around the idea that she's a champion of women, but not everyone is buying into her act. Comedian Michelle Wolf [1] appeared on The Daily Show to chip away at Ivanka's feminist icon status, pointing out that while she claims to be an advocate for all working mothers, it seems she's really only interested in advocating for privileged women [2] who are much like herself. Wolf compared Ivanka's feminism to Lululemon, hilariously pointing out that "Ivanka's feminism is the Lululemon model. It's for rich, white women, and you can see right through it."
The most jaw-dropping point in Wolf's argument came when she pulled a direct quote out of Ivanka's book [4], The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life, where Ivanka doles out some seriously misguided tips on how to deal with harassment in the workplace. The book reads, "Sexual harassment is never acceptable, and we must stand against it. At the same time . . . learn to figure out when a hoot or holler is indeed a form of harassment and when it's merely a good-natured tease that you can give back in kind."
Only three words come to mind in response to that delusional argument: WTF.
