Stephen Colbert [1] called a family meeting during his show on Tuesday night, but he wasn't the head of the family: Vice President Joe Biden [2] was. On the Late Show segment, Biden addressed America's concerns about President-elect Donald Trump [3]. Jokingly, and through a grin, Biden told the audience: "This terrible feeling you're having right now, it's not permanent. It'll be over in four years, maybe eight."
In a different interview segment with Colbert, Biden clarified his comments from earlier this week when he suggested he would run in 2020 [4]. He said he would not rule it out because he cannot predict what will happen, but he did not plan on running again. "I'm a great respecter of fate," Biden said. "I don't plan on running again but to say you know what's going to happen in four years is irrational."
At the very least, can we expect Papa Joe to host family meetings over the next four years?
