When one 11-year-old Pakistani girl thought a political leader could use a lesson in international relations, she decided to take matters into her own hands — and so she penned a powerful letter that's now going viral [1].
Aqeedat Naveed wrote a two-page note to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to congratulate him on his recent election and to urge him to mend the relationship between India and Pakistan. "I must tell you if you want to win more Indian and Pakistani hearts, you should take steps towards friendship and peace," she wrote. The fifth grader encouraged Modi to make a "peace bridge" between the two nations, followed by a necessary shopping list to get the job done. "Let's decide that we will not buy bullets, will buy books. We will not buy the guns, will buy the medicine for the poor people," she continued.
