Watch President Obama and Stephen Colbert Hilariously Mock Donald Trump Without Even Saying His Name

Oct 31 2016 - 2:05pm

While we're all wondering what President Obama will do once he leaves the White House [1], one man is helping him get his next job. In a hilarious new video, Stephen Colbert — or rather, his alter ego named Randy the office manager — helps Obama sharpen his résumé and interview skills.

After telling Obama that age 55 is "a tough time to be starting over for a man," Randy questions why Obama hasn't gotten any promotions over the last eight years. There's not "much room for advancement" in his position, Obama answers, adding that "the only one with a more powerful position was my wife."

Randy also asks Obama where he was born only to get a deadpan stare before the two talk about Obama's accomplishments in office: organizing international deals that slowed climate change, preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, re-opening relations with Cuba, helping tens of millions get health care, and receiving the Nobel Peace Prize — although Obama admits he's still not sure why he got it.

"Would you care for an extra-fiber nutrient bar, which has traveled to more than 100 countries? Or this shriveled tangerine, covered in golden retriever hair, filled with bile, that I wouldn't leave alone with the woman I love?"

Things take another funny turn when Obama sports Snapchat's flower crown filter and Randy tells Obama he's not allowed to outwardly endorse a presidential candidate but he can choose between snacks. "Would you care for an extra-fiber nutrient bar, which has traveled to more than 100 countries? Or this shriveled tangerine, covered in golden retriever hair, filled with bile, that I wouldn't leave alone with the woman I love?" he asks, alluding to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. "Well, I think I'll go with the fiber nutrient bar," answers Obama.

Of course, Obama wouldn't leave the mock interview without pushing people, especially millennials, to vote this election. When Randy asks him what his hobbies are, he answers, "Encouraging the youth of America to get out and vote this November so the good work we've done over the past eight years can continue into the future." After you watch the video, take Obama's advice and check your voter registration status here [2].
