Saturday Night Live [4] opened its final episode of 2017 by reflecting on all of the "haters and losers" President Donald Trump has written off this year. In a hilarious cold open, Alec Baldwin and Cecily Strong put on their best Donald and Melania act to decorate their Christmas tree for the holidays — except, instead of festive ornaments, Trump's "loser tree" was adorned with the faces of all the people who "tried to destroy" him throughout the year.

From the long list of people who have quit or whom Trump has fired [5], first to go on the tree was FBI director James Comey [6], then Anthony Scaramucci and Michael Flynn. Scarlett Johansson came back as Ivanka Trump, bearing two special ornaments: Roy Moore and a Madball for Steve Bannon, because "his face wouldn't fit." But the best part was when Kate McKinnon showed up as an Elf on the Shelf [7] version of Jeff Sessions, who "does not recall who's been naughty or nice." Classic.
