United Airlines' week just got worse. After literally dragging a passenger off a flight [1] on April 10, a scorpion stung a passenger on a different flight [2].
Richard Bell was stung by a scorpion on a flight from Houston to Calgary, Canada. The scorpion first fell into his hair and then he dropped it onto his tray. Bell picked it up again and that's when the creature stung him. In an interview with Global News, Bell said it "felt like a wasp sting."
Bell and his wife Linda were initially startled by the creature, with Linda even thinking, "Aw, it kinda looks like a little lobster." Another passenger pointed out that it was a scorpion. After Bell was stung, one passenger killed and flushed the scorpion down the toilet. Once the plane landed, Bell was greeted by emergency services but didn't ask for treatment.
The internet couldn't believe that United is facing yet another mess.

But the worst part is that the scorpion had a troubled past. https://t.co/jrrLLTIjAc [6]

The worst part is a black widow was bumped to make room for the scorpion https://t.co/WgmYczlZh4 [8]

@HarmfulOpinions [10] "A scorpion stung me! Is there a doctor on this plane?!"
"No, we punched him and kicked him off the plane to make room for the scorpion."— Kristi (@xSortiara) April 13, 2017 [11]
One person even made up a new jingle for United.
@TravelLeisure [12] 🎶We'll drop you, sting you
& charge you a fare,
Just beat it!
But you wanna fly now
Just BEAT IIIIT, BEAT IIIIIT🎶

Another person brought up a previous United controversy from March, where the airline didn't let two passengers board a plane because they were wearing leggings [15].
@TravelLeisure [16] Was the passenger wearing leggings?
