On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert [1], the show's namesake host addressed Melania Trump's latest claims that Billy Bush pushed Donald Trump [2] to make those now-infamous comments about women [3]. Following Melania's interview with Anderson Cooper [4], Stephen hosted a little interview of his own [5] with Melania — or, rather, Broadway actress Laura Benanti.
In the ridiculous skit, Stephen asked "Melania" if she blamed her husband at all for making those crude remarks. She replied, "Yes, I do! I said to my husband that those words are very inappropriate. Plus, he said them on a bus. Disgusting." By the end of the spoofed interview, it becomes very clear that "Melania" is just going to blame everyone involved but Donald Trump [6].
