While speaking at a rally yesterday in La Porte, IN, Ted Cruz let the audience in on a little secret: he spanks his two daughters. The senator was campaigning in Indiana ahead of Tueday's primary in the state.
After a young boy heckled Cruz, he said, "Apparently there's a young man who's having some problems." The boy then yelled, "You suck!"
Cruz responded:
"You know, one of the things that hopefully someone has told you is that children should actually speak with respect. Imagine what a different world it would be if someone had told Donald Trump that years ago.
You know, in my household, when a child behaves that way, they get a spanking."
The crowd roared at his comment.
In January, Cruz said Hillary Clinton should get a spanking [1] for her role in the Benghazi attack in 2012. He must not have read about the new study that says spanking is tied to aggressive behavior [2] and mental health problems.
