Two men, one incredible bond that's still alive 71 years later.

Last week, 94-year-old World War II veteran Sid Shafner reunited with a Holocaust survivor he freed from a concentration camp in Germany in 1945: Marcel Levy, age 90.

Shafner is from Colorado and can be seen wearing a blue baseball cap in the video above. He took a trip to Israel and Poland to be honored at a Holocaust remembrance ceremony [3] for helping liberate about 30,000 prisoners at the Dachau Concentration Camp, according to ABC News.

During World War II, Levy stopped Shafner's convoy and asked him, in Yiddish, for help. The two immediately became friends and saw each other face to face for the first time in two decades on May 10.

"Everything I have today, all of my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, is due to you, Sid," Levy told Shafner, according to the ABC report. The trip was sponsored by a group named Friends of the Israel Defense Forces [4].

Watch the touching moment, and then check out another heartfelt reunion between a soldier and his father [5].
