A throwback video of Bernie Sanders describing his dream president in 1988 is going viral — because it sounds exactly like his platform now. Sanders was then the mayor of Burlington, VT, and said:
"Well I would like to see somebody who has the guts to begin to stand up to the people who own this country. Who recognizes that in our nation today we have extreme disparity between the rich and the poor, that elections are bought and sold and controlled by people who have huge sums of money."
