Oreo Eyeballs
Adapted from Mom Foodie [1]
Notes
I couldn't find red candy melts, so I tinted white candy melts with gel food coloring [2] (liquid food coloring isn't strongly pigmented enough). You may need a few more Oreos than 12, as they may not all twist apart cleanly.
Ingredients
- 12 Oreos
1/4 cup red candy melts [3]
12 Lifesaver Gummies
12 chocolate chips
Directions
- Carefully twist off the tops of the Oreos, reserving the frostingless tops for another use.
- Melt the candy melts according to the directions on the package. Transfer the melted candy melts to a piping bag fit with a narrow piping tip; alternatively, snip a very small hole in the piping bag.
- Pipe 5-6 squiggly lines on each Oreo half to represent blood vessels. Add a gummy to each Oreo half to represent the iris, nestling an upside-down chocolate chip in each gummy to represent the pupil.
- Refrigerate for 10 minutes, or until the candy melts harden.
