Slow-Cooker Pinto Beans

How to Cook Beans in Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound dry pinto beans
    7 1/2 cups cold water
    2 teaspoons sea salt

Directions

  1. Add dry beans to a collander and rinse well with cool water. Pick out any weird looking beans or stones.
  2. Add the beans, water, and salt to the slow cooker.
  3. Secure the lid and cook on low 8 to 9 1/2 hours. Cooking time depends on the age of your beans and how soft you like them.
  4. When they're done, there will still be lots of liquid left. Just drain and use in your favorite recipes.
