Tom Brady Kissed His 10-Year-Old Son on the Lips, and of Course, People Have Opinions

Tom Brady is having quite the week when it comes to online media coverage, and it's not all about Super Bowl LII either. Earlier in the week, Brady came to his 5-year-old daughter's defense after a sports radio host called her an "annoying little pissant," and now, after the release of a new episode of his Facebook docuseries, Tom vs Time, the dad is reopening the ever-present debate over whether you should kiss your children on the lips or not.

In the third episode of the series, "The Social Game," Brady can be seen getting a muscle massage at around 9 minutes, 50 seconds, when his 10-year-old son walks in to ask if he could check his fantasy football team. When Brady asks Jack, "What do I get?" the boy walks over to give his dad a kiss — on the lips. After, Brady says, "That was like a peck!," Jack walks back over to give his dad another kiss — also on the lips — while answering questions about his fantasy team asked from behind the camera. It's a causal interaction that doesn't seem out of the ordinary for the family (especially for Brady, who still kisses his own father on the lips).

However, the people of the internet are, of course, divided. While some find the affectionate moment between father and son totally innocent, others are taking to Twitter to share that they feel the kiss was too long or that the boy is too old to be kissing his dad on the lips.

i just watched Tom Brady kiss his son on the lips, and now I have 7 days to show another person or else i will die.

The entire newsroom is discussing whether Tom Brady's kiss with his son is too long. They all say yes. I say ... #Thursdaygifparty @WCPO pic.twitter.com/EK2znYC6Es

My hugs with my parents don't even last that long

The "controversy" seems kind of silly. Some people do get weirded out by parents and children who kiss on the lips, but it's pretty common.

Anyone who feels it was inappropriate for Tom Brady to kiss his 11 year old son should get their mind out of the gutter. All I see is a loving dad... and last I checked, that was a good thing. https://t.co/rRCPvbldeI

People throwin' shade at Tom Brady for kissing his 11-year-old son on the lips. It's not for me. But I get parents/families show affection in different ways. So what's the cut-off age for that kind of stuff?

No, I do not have kids. Yes, I kiss my dog on the lips. 😘

What do you think about this kiss — innocent or too much?
