Kristen Bell, J.K. Simmons, and More Stars Who Will Be in Hulu's Veronica Mars Reboot

Veronica Mars fans got some seriously amazing news when it was announced that the show would be making a return in an 8-episode Hulu revival. Kristen Bell broke the news on Instagram herself, and we've been aching for more details ever since. Thankfully, Rob Thomas, the original creator of the show who will also be at the helm of the reboot, heard our cries and revealed some of the returning cast members.
From Bell's Mars to Max Greenfield's Leo (a sheriff's department deputy and former love interest of Veronica's), the show is making sure to get all the key characters back together for the continuation of the series. J.K. Simmons
The Oscar winner is headed to Neptune! According to The Hollywood Reporter, he'll play an ex-con named Clyde Prickett. "Clyde served 10 years for racketeering and was the first inmate in Chino to offer protection to Neptune real estate developer Big Dick Casablancas (David Starzyk) when he entered the prison," the description reads. "Now a free man, Clyde works as the elder Casablancas' fixer. He's the smarter and more dangerous of the two and has a network of fellow ex-cons he uses to do his dirty work."

Max Greenfield
The New Girl star is set to resurrect his character, police officer Leo, in a multiple episode arc. Leo and Veronica were briefly romantically involved in the show, and in the Veronica Mars movie, we find out he's since become a detective at the San Diego Police Department.

Patton Oswalt
The A.P. Bio star has joined the reboot as a brand new character, according to TVLine. He'll recur as "the affable, hapless Penn Epner, AKA the out and proud 'best pizza delivery guy in Neptune.'" Of course, Penn's passion for true crime and posting on unsolved murder websites leads him to cross paths with Veronica. Only time will tell if it's in a good way.
