Hot Honey

Chili Pepper Madness by Mike Hultquist

Store hot honey in a sealed glass jar and refrigerate for up to four weeks.

Hot Honey Recipe and Photos

  1. 4-5 habanero peppers, roughly chopped (remove seeds if desired)
4-5 small dried peppers, roughly chopped
    12 ounces honey

  1. In a small pot, simmer peppers and honey on medium heat for five minutes. This will allow the natural pepper flavor and heat to infuse into the honey.
  2. Remove hot honey from heat and let cool.
  3. Over a mason jar or glass container of your choosing, strain the infused honey through a fine mesh sieve. Toss out the peppers.
  4. Enjoy on biscuits, fried chicken, ice cream, with hot water and lemon, and much more!
