Does Your Pet Have a BFF?

North's very first friend was a Doberman Pinscher named Maximus. After riding in the elevator many times with Max and his dad – and seeing them at the dog park – the two puppies became friends. Fortunately for us, Maximus lived in a much bigger loft than we did, and North was often invited over for games of fetch and tag. When we moved to SF, North lost touch with his old pal, but that hasn't stopped him from making new BFFs at Pet Camp . . . so I've been told. How about your pup? Does your pet have a special BFF that makes his tail wag with joy?

My dog has a best friend named Cowboy, and then a bunch of girlfriends that he sees around the neighbourhood.. He's a player!

My two kitties hated each other when they were first introduced (probably because Mikey, who was a kitten and the second adoption, used to assault Henry every hour on the hour), but several years later, they are totally best friends. They love to cuddle together and groom each other, follow each other around the house, and are miserable when they're separated :) Henry's a bit jealous though--every time I pet Mikey, he has to insert himself right between us for his share!

Tulip is the leader of her own BFF pack! Her BFFs are nextdoor neighbors (and my aunt's family doggies too)Jake and Weezie. Jake is a big yellow lab and the most cuddly, happy dog in the world. She has the heart of a puppy, loves to play and snuggle and is totaly submissive to 'the diva' Tulip! Jake makes me think some magic ray of sunshine hit the earth and became a beautiful, happy dog. Weezie is a little mixed breed, she looks alot like a mini-pin. Tulip treats her alot like a little sister, she even lets her share her bowl and cuddle with her on her pillow when Weezie comes to visit. They are very close little girls. ^_^ Sadly, Weezie was hit by a car and killed yesterday. We'll miss her.

Joe has a BFGF at the dog park named Holly. She is a little Cattle Dog, about 1/4 Joe's size, but she is spunky! They love to wrestle and chase.

B-Bop LOVED my parents whippet, Qi (pronounced CHee). THey live a couple hours away, but when you say "Bopper, Qi is coming to visit" He ges all exctied and spins around! And when they're together, they literally play until they drop. They'll be full speed on minute then you look over and they're asleep. It's so cute. And when we part, they get sad. I wish we lived closer. Good thing my mom is visiting next weekend!

I was sad my dog had to leave her BFF Jetta back in Ohio when we moved, she saw Jetta everyday, loved to play with her and her "humans". She is trying to make new friends again.

Yes, and it's hilarious to watch them play because Bug is a 25 pound Boston Terrier and his bestie is a 130 pound Great Dane. When we take him to the kennel, his bestie there is a little black and white cat that looks like she could be related to him. You know, if it weren't for the whole different species thing... :rotfl:

Zero is best friends with my parents lab, Jake, and my boyfriend's brothers basset hound, Boones. He's quickly becoming a very good friend to one particular dog at the dog park. Her name is Sheeba and when they are both there, they play exclusively with each other! I love it!

My french bulldog, Maxwell totally has a BFF! He and Duke (another frenchie) even have "Friends Forever" matching collar tags to prove it! There's a video of them taking a post-doggy-park bath together at . Maxwell will always tilt his head or perk up whenever we say Duke's name, it is so precious!

Growing up, our family Mini Schnauzer girl had a German Shepherd "boyfriend" in our next door neighbor's house. They would run to each other like those cheesey love scenes that are always staged in meadows. Once together they would jump like crazy, doing back flips and such. It was hilarious because the Shepherd was ever so careful not to step on her or bump her. He understood the size difference!

My dog's best friend is.....a cat! :D My poodle goes to my MIL's everyday while I'm at work, and she has become fast friends with Annabelle, one of the two cats that my MIL owns.

We dog sit for a friend's of ours Shepard...and our dogs are more like sisters. They fight, they play, they ignore...they are just now starting to cuddle. The best thing is that the shepard is MUCH braver than our MinPin, but when the shepard is around...our MP acts just as brave. We call her the Patronus (harry potter geek, showing my stripes!)

About two months after we got Shenanigans, our neighbor got a great dane/hound puppy that was only 6 weeks younger than Shenans. The two of them were such BFF - they knew which condo each other lived in and they would always run over to each others porches and see if the other could come out and play. They were so in love it was crazy, esp since they were so little (at first, at least) and both all black. People would ask if they were siblings even though they were totally different breeds. Sadly though, Tucker moved away and Shenans was broken-hearted. She has a new BFF though, since our friends just got a Aussie who comes over to play all the time.

OMG manny my cat does the same thing!!!! It's a little black halloween kitty that makes a terrible sound when you squeeze it. I thought it would scare the real cat, but she loves it and carries it all over in her mouth like your cat does! She kind of wrestles with it when it "goes off," though

My kitty has a BFF...a stuffed animal kitty! He carries it in his mouth all over my apartment, it's so cute. Sometimes he drops it off at the front door during the day so it is sitting there when I come home at night!
