Dog-e-Minder: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

Are there people streaming in and out of your house caring for your pooch? Then again, I guess even two people sharing duties can cause confusion. If your dog isn't on a regular routine for potty breaks and meals, the Dog-e-Minder ($20) may be for you.

With buttons for food, walks, and medication, simply press the corresponding photo (bone, hydrant, Rx) and say the time and date it happened. Now you only have to remember actually enter in the last time he was walked, fed, or medicated, which may be half the battle. Could you find a use for this tag?

I wouldn't use it. My dogs don't have medication, we have a fenced yard and they always let us know when they want out, and food and water is always kept out. So this is basically useless.

I'm torn between ridiculous and useful... On the one hand, I can honestly recount at least two separate instances where I asked someone to walk Mocha (my dog) for me since I would be working late or be running errands, and found out that she conned them into feeding her dinner when she had already been fed. On the other hand, I've seen her, and other dogs, tear all kinds of tags, collars, and harnesses off their necks, and the thoughts of her gnawing on something electronic is concerning... not to mention disturbing to have transformed her into a whiteboard.

i feel like if you need this, you probably shouldn't have a pet.
