Double Decker KittyWalk Pet Stroller: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

Why should the dogs have all the fun? While many kitties don't want to walk on a leash, fresh air can do them good . . . even if it's just a walk to the vet. The KittyWalk Pet Stroller — Double Decker ($249.99) is like a duplex carrier for cats featuring durable nylon netting and water resistant fabric holding two 18-pound pets on each "floor." My fave feature of this stroller is that it can be used as a separate hand-held carrier or as a wagon to tote other heavy goods like . . . hmm . . . laundry. Now, I know many of you have kitties that don't even want to get into any carrier, so I'm worried you get it home and be left using it to cart around groceries instead – what do you think?

Ok...I actually came up with this concept when I was 12. I had a cat that actually loved going outside in a tote-style plastic basket. I would clap the handles of the basket together and he would run full speed to me and hop in it. After awhile, it became heavy to carry outside, so I fashioned my own type of"stroller" by putting the basket into and old lawn fertilizer spreader (don't laugh) and tying it down. Needless to say...the design was flawed a bit (the wheels wouldn't turn smoothly, etc.) but the idea was this!!!!! I am now a 34 year old woman who is childless by choice. Imagine what my block would think as they see me walking down the street with my cats in this thing....hahaha....."Oh that poor woman...longing for a child of her own"....

I have jogging pet stroller to cart my THREE 17-lb cats to the vet on occasion without throwing my back out or worrying about the plastic handle on a pet carrier snapping off. It's also a good idea for a pet that shouldn't be moved too much or has a disability. My boys refuse to go into so much as a pet backpack or tote, so getting them into the pet stroller is much easier. HOWEVER...I did a LOT of research before I bought and I looked at this stroller and X'd it off the list for these reasons: it's made primary for people who show cats, and it's not sturdy. Those tiny, hard plastic doll-stroller wheels break and lend themselves to being topheavy. There were loads of complaints over this type of stroller (or any that use those small plastic wheels) tipping over or breaking off on rough pavement or a crack or a curb. I recommend getting a stroller if you need one, but get one with big air-filled tires. I bought a new one on eBay straight from Hong Kong for $100 with shipping. Do your homework.

A Pet Stroller can have many uses especially for older or disabled pets

Crazy people push these strollers Animals are NOT replacements for having children, fyi. Animals have feet that are attached to legs and can and should walk on them. WTF?

My cats would be pissed at me. It would be torture to be outside but unable to play.

there's no way my kittens would get in there, and even if i did manage to get them they'd hate it. just let them run free i say!
I think that is too cute, but I can't imagine any cat liking it. I had a cat and I can only see him getting super mad at me for putting him it.

Im pretty sure I would pee my pants laughing if I saw someone walk their cats downt he street in this thing. :) oh man...I wouldn't be caught dead with this! Those cats are totally planning revenge on the person who made them go outside in that thing.

Awww, I really like this. I have 2 kitties that we adopted that were already declawed and they can't go outside, so this would be if they like it would be another story. And my hubby, he would so make fun of me!!

animals and wheels - bizarre. who thinks up these things? i used to take my cat in the backyard on leash but that was for his own protection (once we moved from the killer ferral cat neighborhood he was allowed to roam on his own) ... but i knew the leash was weird. push my cat through the neighborhood - how embarassing! what would the neighbors think? and, my cat would be mortified!

Some cats may benefit from this. They may like fresh air and the interesting sites, but not feel safe enough to walk on a lead. I am lucky to have an atrium--a place where my cats can enjoy fresh air, sights, and sounds of being outdoors while still being safe and supervised. We're moving to a high-rise soon, so they won't get to. :( Although they will have a much better view and lots of windows!!

I actually am looking for a cat stroller. My Sherpa Bag is too heavy with both cats in there together and my girls squirm around because the bag is unstable. Two cat carriers with two cats is just too much - they prefer to be together if they're removed from my home. If I had a cat stroller my girls could, I hope, feel a little bit more comfortable and safer when I took them to the vet. Plus they might feel safer if I took them outside to see the birds and nature. And I could walk them to the vet rather than having to take the bus or drive there.

Cats are pretty timid animals. I imagine that they would be freaking out if they were wheeled around in this contraption. It may be fun for small children though.

Dumb. I would only use this if my dog or cat were paralized.

At first I thought it looked funny, but my kitty is an explorer. She'd rather be outside. However, I like how roomy it is. A size like that might make it more comfortable for a cat to travel on big trips.

My cats would FREAK if I put them in this. Oh, they would be sooo mad at me, I'm picturing it now. I know some owners want to take their cats for walks and they won't walk on leashes, but I think buying them a bunch of toys and letting them go crazy in the house is better than this.

WEIRD. Animals in strollers freak me out. Unless they are legless, there is no reason they need to be pushed around in a stroller.
