How Many Collars?

I bought North's first collar before I even picked him out! I decided the puppy-sized leather collar with studs from George would be a perfect gift for my little guy upon arrival. Not only functional, collars are a great way to switch up your pet's look and, with so many varieties, it's tough to resist! North has seasonal colors and designs as well as special occasion harnesses (even one just for running). How many collars or harnesses does your pet have?

Sas came to us from the pound and he had a green frayed cloth collar. When we got him he was out of control and obviously had not been given any training so we brought a trainer into the house for him. She brought a choke collar with her and the minute she put that on him he became a completely different dog. He was able to listen to commands and he tried to follow them. After a half hour he had learned to sit, stay, lie down and come. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. When she left I tried to remove the collar as I have never been fond of choke collars, but as soon as I took it off Sas began to whine and jump trying to get it. I put it back on and he went prancing off showing off his new collar. It was almost as though it made him part of the family now that he had his own "jewelry". I had to buy a new one because it got too small and I had a tough time getting the old one off, but once I exchanged them he was fine. neakybird

George doesn't like having his collar changed at all, but he doesn't mind wearing them once they're on. So I only have 2 woven collars for him, one regular that's blue with suns and planets and stuff on it and another one for Christmas with trees and ornaments and stuff like that. Usually by the time Christmas comes around it's about time for a new collar anyway, so I torture him by putting on the Christmas collar and again after New Year with a new one.

My cat only wears one collar, until he slips out of it somewhere in the neighborhood. I keep extra collars and tags on hand.

The first collar I bought for my dog, Togo, was a really expensive leather one from Edgewood (leather horse product line). She went to visit my parents for the first time and my stepdad's lab chewed it off and down to the buckle!! I found the tags and that was about it. :) Now she just has two - one generic leather one and then her doggy day care collar.

My chihuahuas have one collar and they HATE wearing it so I don't torture them. Instead they wear a harness when we go out for walks.

Since Chloe is so beautiful, she looks good in everything. She has polka dots, stripes, patent leather, Ohio State scarlet and gray and Steelers yellow and black for game days. My favorite is a fake Burberry from the dollar store!

My little guy has 3- One nylon one with his tags, his walking harness and a fancy leather one with a small Steelers football charm on it. ;-) The big girl only has one, it's nylon and green not very fun but she belongs to my hubby and he doesn't allow any girly collars. I would love to buy a shiny pink patent leather one!

Ok well Annabelle is a seasonal collar wearer. So she was four for the seasons and then a couple special occasion ones. ;) xo

My dog used to have a ton of different collars but after I got him his Coach collar, I stopped buying other ones (except special Christmas ones of course!) Not only do I get compliments on how stylish my dog is (a pitbull, no less!) but it's super durable!

They each have a leather collar, a harness for walkies and travel, and a light up collar for night walkies. Auggie also has one for Halloween. I need to find another for Dewey. Maybe some Christmas collars too, but all the ones I've seen in the last couple years were kind of lame.

Bodhi only has one collar. Its boring & black but her tags are on it & I don't like her being tag-less. She & Sully had matching skull & crossbones collars but Sul pulled hers off & they palyed tug with it :( She has a harness for walks. Sully still has his skull & crossbones collar & a big metal choke chain for walks. He is too big & too strong for anything else (& we've tried, believe me). Mick has always had him in choke chains. Sully's first one is now on Mick's keys

My kitty doesn't wear a collar. So far there hasn't been one that doesn't give him a rash. He's a devon rex that doesn't have much hair collars he is terrified of outside..but fascinated to look out the window...hmm..odd.

hmm maybe he has three. there are two leather collars, that get cycled between when he gets skunked. and a collar that he wears when he goes to the vet which is a martingale collar, and keeps him from slipping his regular leather collar.

My cats don't wear collars, but they have harnesses that I got for when they are out on the atrium. They can't really get out, but people keep telling me they can, so I got paranoid and got the cutest harnesses made of the softest material for next to their skin(for $70 each!), only to find out they hate them and have NEVER even thought about trying to get out of the atrium (which I still think is next to impossible).

Daisy has at least 30 collars, including 2 LV and 2 Coach. Her new favorite is a hot pink leather and mini C Coach collar with pink Daisies all around. She's a big dog--so it needs to be girly. Otherwise everyone thinks she's a boy. BTW--we don't have kids yet, can you tell?

My little guy has his collar, and i have his first one in a box with is first leash. So he has two ;) I just can't bring me to it and throw it away. His collar is simple dark red. I don't like it with to much color, so its just simple.

My boyfriend dislikes the "girly" collar and no-tug-harness I put on Princess. Truth is, people feel excited and less threatened by a big dog wearing a shiny pink patent-leather collar... and then she gets pettings, treats and people talking to her! He puts her in the cheaper, less distinctive collar and fraying, stained leash (and then he wonders why she prefers walks with me!)

I only have one for my kitty, but it got stuck on her mouth one time while she was playing and she freaked she doesn't wear it anymore.

We have two dogs, and I got them the cutest cotton martingales from the lady makes them all, they're top quality and relatively inexpensive, even WITH shipping, so of course they now have 2 each.
