First impressions can make all the difference . . . especially if it's a bad one. I recently received an email from an old friend of mine who is absolutely terrified of dogs. She was attacked as a small child and it's something she's never forgotten. The problem – she's spending Thanksgiving with her boyfriend's family . . . and they have three big dogs. His mother considers the pups as his "siblings" and, since it's her first time meeting them, the impression she makes is extra important. Eeks! There's not much time left between now and then so can we think of some ideas of how she can get ready for this weekend visit with minimal stress and discomfort?
