Should My Dog Sleep in My Bed?

PetSugar Q + A: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep With You on Your Bed?

Ahh, an ever-tricky situation as PetSugar reader Hotlegs Runner poses this question to the PetSugar Q + A group:

My dogs are small and they like sleeping on our bed at night.  They either lay at the foot of the bed or they lie down wherever there's free space.  That said, I make sure that they're clean.  Whenever we return from their daily walks, I wash their feet. =)

One night, I entered my room and saw my dogs already on my bed. So, where am I suppose to sleep, huh? ;p

Yep. The cats sleep on the bed with us when they want to. They have their own beds they can sleep in, but generally they wind up stretched between us, curled up at my feet or between my legs. I feel so bad when I accidentally kick them in the night when turning over.
