Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

The Puppoose: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

You may have dog crates, carriers, and strollers lying around but do you have a doggie purse? For $80, the Puppoose keeps your furry companion attached to your hip - literally - in this soft crocheted carrier that allows your arms to remain functional while out and about. The Puppoose promises a fit for all:

"..fits any small dog and any person! Its crocheted design has 4 holes at the base for the pets limbs, 4 adjustable straps to adjust the length, a neck cushion for your comfort and safety strap to ensure your pets security. Its hands-free convenience allows more quality time together!"

I'm all about stylish and comfortable ways to keep North with me throughout the day, but I'm wondering how he would deal with not walking and expending some of his boundless energy on our outings! So what do you think — Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

I think the Puppoose is great! I bought one after seeing it on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and my two little Terriers love it. I let them walk as long as they can, but on busy streets or at the end of the day they appreciate being close and carefree.

This is freaking ridiculous. Instead of carrying your dog in a bag (which I think is also stupid) you're carrying your dog like a bag. I can't imagine seeing someone walking down the street with their dog slung over their shoulder. Why not walk it!? My dogs would be freaking out. If you started walking fast or pretty much at all your dog would start bouncing around and into you, which is also wicked awesome and I'm sure comfortable for both. Not to mention it looks terribly uncomfortable. Bottom line: LAME!

Poor pup. That looks so uncomfortable, and besides doggies need exercise!

i don't know if i would even consider something like that if my dog was small enough - that's CHEESY

My Pom cannot walk for as long as I can when we go to the park and I've just started looking for a way to keep her close to me and let her enjoy the surroundings without actually having to carry her so my arms can be free ...once she becomes tired and just stops short and refuses to walk further. Sometimes that happens when we're pretty far out. There actually are practical reasons for things like this, although I must say this particular thing does not look really comfy for the dog.

Yeah, because Lord knows dogs CAN'T walk on their own ... nor is it HEALTHY for them to walk. =P :sarcasmmodeoff:

What next? A doggy boom-a-rang to shoot him to his food bowl? No, no, and again, no.

I doubt my doggie would like that thing, it looks very uncomfortable.

I don't get it. Where do I put my wallet and cellphone? Oh wait.. it's a dog? An actual dog? That's alive? Ooohhh. Why can't it just walk? Ah, I get it. It's to exercise your shoulders and back! :D

it promises a fit for all? i don't think so. my dog is close to 70 pounds. even if it does fit. it would be so uncomfortable for me to make me carry a 70 pound dog as a weird purse.

I said other because I can't speak dog and don't know if it's comfortable or not. It looks like a backwards hammock and hammocks are pretty comfy. I think dogs should walk, though, unless there's a reason for them not to. I would guess that dogs would prefer, if being carried, to curl up or in some way cuddle.

A good concept, but it does look VERY uncomfortable for the dog. Too bad:(

My dog would never come to me again if I put her in that thing! That is by far the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

I agree with everyone else that say it is stupid, tacky, and I think Cuba would be miserable if I tried to carry him in that!

I think I felt the same way everyone else did. This does not look comfortable for the poor puppy.

super stupid! a common theme i've learned from watching the dog whisperer is that dogs need to be walked and exercised as an outlet for their energy. i've seen a lot of people using strollers now and i think that is lame too, unless your dog is old then a stroller is probably a good idea ;)

oh wow ... what will they come up next? it doesn't look too "male" friendly! perhaps these are female dog holders??? however, if i could get one big enough to hold my 30 lb sheltie, i would. he loves to be carried and cuddled. if i could 'wear' him next to me, he'd love it. i'd look like a nut, but he'd think it was great.

That'd be way too uncomfortable for me AND my 70 pound Pit Bull Terrier. ;)

my dog would hate that..when she is being carried she likes to curl up her legs and lay like on them that looks way un-comfy!

you could suffocate a dog in that it looks painful!!!!
