Martens are weasels Susanna. The only marten I know of is the pine marten which, in America, is very endangered. 6/10! Not bad.

I believe martens are in the weasel family and look quite similar too. I was wondering the same about where the names originated.

I wonder what the etymology of a lot of these words is. I mean, a shrewdness of apes? A smack of jellyfish? A richness of martens? (And what is a marten, anyway?)
