Keke Palmer's Must Haves, From a Fabletics Set to a $26 Moisturizer

Keke Palmer is having a generational year. The actress, who audiences first fell in love with in 2006's "Akeelah and the Bee," is now a perennial fan favorite in Hollywood, with a popular podcast ("Baby, This Is Keke Palmer"), a prolific movie career (most recently, "I Love Boosters"), and a newly-announced hosting gig at the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards. This year also marks a major milestone for the luminary as she'll receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

With a career spanning two decades and still thriving, Palmer's found the key to achieving longevity in the ever-shifting Hollywood landscape. "[It] comes from being willing to evolve," she tells Popsugar. "I started so young, and every season of my career has required me to meet myself again and ask, 'OK, who am I now? What do I want to say now?' I've never felt the need to be confined by what people already knew me for." She cites a deep love and passion for the arts as her constant motivation: "I love performing, I love creating, I love connecting with people, and I'm still curious."

Life moves fast and I've learned I can't be everything to everybody at the same time. [...] You can't pour into every cup at once, so I try to just be present.

Palmer's love for entertaining is evident in everything she does, but that doesn't make the workload easy to bear. An Emmy Award-winning actress, singer, entrepreneur, podcast host, and mother to 3-year-old Leodis Jackson, she's learned to be intentional about finding balance. "It's about being where you're at in the current moment," she says. "Life moves fast, and I've learned I can't be everything to everybody at the same time. So, when I'm with my son, I'm with my son. When I'm working, I'm locked in on the work. You can't pour into every cup at once, so I try to just be present."

It also helps to have an outlet, and Palmer's found one in the low-impact exercise method of Pilates. "It's really become my reset," she says, fresh off leading a class at Essence Festival. "It helped me slow down, reconnect with my body, and make time for myself. By the time I leave class, I feel like I can show up as a better version of myself for whatever comes next."

Her love for exercise is a natural fit for her collaboration with Fabletics. Palmer just launched her second collection with the brand, and it features everything from matching activewear sets to a chic, cropped trench coat. "Every piece was inspired by the different versions of me that show up: everyday mom, entrepreneur, actor, singer, and just Keke," she shares. "Some days I'm running from meetings to mom life, some days I'm headed to the gym, and some days I need an outfit that can do all of the above without making me think too hard and still look cute."

The collab is the latest in a long list of projects Palmer's working on through the rest of the year. For one, fans can expect to see more from her wildly popular podcast. "I love conversation, and the podcast gives me an opportunity to be curious in a completely different way," she says. "My favorite part is when somebody feels comfortable enough to get past the talking points and you get into a real conversation about who they are, how they think, or what they've experienced." Past guests read like a who's who of entertainment and politics: Oprah, Michelle Obama, Kamala Harris, Tracee Ellis Ross, Whoopi Goldberg, Usher, Taraji P. Henson, Ciara. Palmer's dream guest? "I would love to sit down with Rihanna or Beyoncé," she says excitedly. "I'd have about a million questions!"

She's also gearing up for the aforementioned CFDA Awards. It's too early to tell which designer she may partner with on a red-carpet look, but she does have a beautiful, long-standing relationship with Sergio Hudson. "Sergio understands glamour," she says. "He knows how to make a woman feel powerful, sexy, and sophisticated without losing the personality of the person wearing the clothes." Palmer is widely regarded as Hudson's most beloved muse: he served as her creative director for the 2023 Met Gala and 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar party, among many other events, and they posed together on the cover of Essence Magazine's September 2023 issue. "What I love about working with him is that it really feels collaborative," Palmer says. "We have an amazing trust between us, and he understands when I want to have a fashion moment. Sergio's work celebrates the body and celebrates confidence. When I put on one of his creations, I know I'm going to feel like a woman, honey! There's something timeless about what he does while still making it feel fresh."

Though we all enjoy Palmer as a podcast host and red-carpet fixture, movies are her first love - and where we were first introduced to her extraordinary talent. As we talked about what's next for her career in film, I shared that Tahj Mowry specifically named her in our Popsugar Aughts Effect cover interview, revealing he'd love to star opposite Palmer in a rom-com. Her response? "Oh, I would absolutely do a rom-com with Tahj!" she says. "I love that he said that. We've both been doing this for such a long time, so I think it would be really fun to come together at this point in our careers and do something people might not expect. And I love a good romantic comedy. I think we're in a moment where people want to laugh, fall in love with characters, and just have a good time watching a movie again. Tahj, let's make it happen!"

An Editor's Backstreet Boys Concert Checklist, From Bandanas to Body Glitter

Whether you happen to be traveling to Las Vegas while the Backstreet Boys are performing or are headed there deliberately to catch the Into the Millennium tour live at The Sphere, I highly recommend it. The residency features all the boy band's greatest hits: "Larger Than Life," "I Want It That Way," "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)," plus a bonus new song you can only hear in-show (for now). Yes, the Backstreet Boys are back - but The Sphere isn't exactly a short drive for most people. It takes planning and effort, all the stuff you typically don't want to do. That's why I put together this guide: so you can focus on feeling confident and letting loose, and less on logistics.

How Long Is the Backstreet Boys Residency at The Sphere?

The Backstreet Boys' residency at The Sphere runs through August 29 - but don't worry! The show was such a hit that they've added new dates: December 31 and January 1-2, 2027. So, there's still time to get in on the action. Tickets will go on sale on Ticketmaster on August 21.

Where Should I Stay to See the Backstreet Boys at The Sphere?

I stayed at The Venetian Resort on the Las Vegas Strip, which features gorgeous suite-only accommodations, a casino, entertainment (I opted for a magic show), more than 40 restaurants, shopping, spas, a rooftop pool, and even gondola rides "under the stars." Yes, you're basically transported to Venice inside the resort. All of this to say, the experience was pretty magical (no pun intended).

However, the most important thing to note is that The Venetian Resort is connected to The Sphere - yes, you read that correctly. All you have to do is walk through a connected pedestrian bridge, and you're there. It was no-sweat and definitely convenient. The Venetian also hosts The Backstreet Boys Terminal, which is the official gift shop for fans, as well as the official after-party at Voltaire (a club inside the resort), where fans can meet the band.

If you're thinking about staying here, it's important to note: as of January, World of Hyatt Credit Cardmembers (as well as regular members) can earn and redeem points at The Venetian. It's not hard to imagine what you'd wear if you came of age in 2006. Twenty years ago, right around the time Popsugar was founded, the fashion trends du jour looked a lot like they do today: capri pants, saddle bags, velour sweatsuits, going-out tops, baby tees, bucket hats, and shiny jackets. That we're revisiting Y2K fashion in 2026 says a lot about our love for nostalgia but also, perhaps, our desire for a simpler time: an era when we could indulge in whimsy, occasion dressing, and comfortmaxxing without a care. For our Popsugar Aughts Effect covers, photographed by Anna Koblish, we ventured back to the dawn of the new millennium, sartorially at least.

Stylist Ali Claire Marino dressed our cover stars - Monique Coleman, Tahj Mowry, Daníella Monet, and Sabrina Bryan - in the most joyful and enduring trends 2006 had to offer. From a Dior baby T-shirt with a heart graphic to velour sweats adorned with the sparkling Juicy Couture logo, Marino explored early-aughts fashion with a reverence for the past and an eye toward the future. Take Coleman and Monet's capri pants: the abbreviated style was a staple in 2006 and it's experiencing a resurgence today (in recent months, Kendall Jenner, Rihanna, and Beyoncé all stepped out in modernized versions of the look).

The bumping bass in Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous." A whiff of Victoria's Secret Love Spell. Each gleaming swipe of Lancome juicy tube on your lips. Low-rise skirts that hang off your hips just so. It all instantly transports you back to the dawn of the millennium, that era of club nights, glitter eyeshadow, going-out tops, and velour tracksuits.

Just like photographs on our elusive Myspace pages, those sounds and smells and textures store our memories, sending fleeting moments rushing back to the forefront of our minds.

I felt that wave of nostalgia when I shopped for my 2000s-themed outfit for Popsugar's 20th birthday party - and found myself face-to-face with 2006 me. Back as I was navigating the fashion landscape of the early aughts, I was also rediscovering who I was as a young woman trying to find my place in the world.

Sorting through rows of sparkly going-out dresses, I remember a girl who was newly introduced to the thrill of the Manhattan social scene. There were so many magical experiences at my fingertips, from clubbing until the wee hours at BLVD to watching Mary J. Blige perform at Summer Jam. I instantly became enthralled with the art of occasion dressing, and it would later come to define my style and life in New York City.

Scrolling through a long list of mall brands that embodied the early aughts, I recall someone who, at times, felt like an outsider. I wasn't preppy, rich, or white enough for Aeropostale or Abercrombie & Fitch - or edgy and cool enough for Ed Hardy or Von Dutch.

Eventually, I found a home in Baby Phat.

With Kimora Lee Simmons's brand, I experienced, for the first time, a label that felt aligned with who I am: bold, feminine, and a tiny bit rebellious. More importantly, it meant everything to me to see women who looked like me modeling those designs - and I still get that feeling seeing Olandria wear the brand today.

Looking at shelves lined with colorful Louis Vuitton x Murakami bags, I relive the moment I first experienced their dopamine rush of rainbow color. I taped the iconic fashion ads featuring Naomi Campbell and JLo to my bedroom wall.

It was then that I discovered the art of the It bag: how a fashion item can elicit joy and an accessory can become a conversation piece, drawing like-minded people together with a compliment or a knowing glance as we pass each other on the street.

In a fitting room full of low-rise jeans - which once showed off my newfound curves and belly-button ring - I remember a girl who struggled with body image. After years of being chided for looking "too skinny," I had finally developed the curves that everyone in my community praised. But I hadn't yet learned to love my body regardless of whatever state it's in, simply because it's mine.

As the years passed, I'd become too curvy for those same folks, a harsh reality that forced me to accept my body in every iteration rather than expanding or shrinking myself to fit social standards. Today, my abs aren't as defined as in the early 2000s, but I am healthy and strong, and I have found peace with who I am and how I look.

Walking past piles of velour tracksuits, I recall a girl who spent my whole paycheck on a pink Juicy Couture set and Uggs only to have to reconcile being on trend with not feeling like myself. From that look, I took away the lesson that not every aesthetic is for me; I can love some from afar, and that's OK.

In between the cool minimalism of the '90s and the athleisure revival of the 2010s, early-aughts trends felt particularly exclusionary. The look demanded that you embody a certain size, bank account, personality, and pedigree to participate.

I often felt like I didn't belong, but I'm grateful for that; it forced me to make peace with not fitting in, with going against the grain, with owning my differences.

Now, as I revisit those same trends, I can ignore the cacophony of outside influences and hear my inner voice in all its quiet assuredness.

But perhaps even more impressive than her athletic dominance on the court is what she's managed to achieve outside of the sport.

Osaka has been a vocal advocate on topics surrounding mental health - even famously withdrawing from the 2021 French Open in order to prioritize her own mental well-being. So it feels natural for the tennis star to seek out partnerships that amplify the same message. "At this stage in my career, I'm intentional. I only take on work that I truly believe in and fully stand behind," she tells Popsugar. Her latest campaign with Olly called "Do What Serves You" does just that. "It's about empowering women to prioritize their mental and physical well-being without guilt, which is something that means so much to me."

Even outside of her collaborations, Osaka seems to always find new avenues to express herself and her strength. I Can’t Stop Bragging About My New Hybrid Mattress - I Promise It’s Worth It

As a shopping editor, it's no secret that I love the thrill of a new purchase. Whether it's adding yet another pair of ballet flats to my collection or snagging a designer bag on sale that's too good to pass up, the spontaneity is half the fun. But when it comes to the high-ticket items I only buy every so often, that's where I pause to really weigh my options. At the top of that list? A mattress.

I recently moved into an apartment with my boyfriend, which meant we had to determine whose furniture we used in our new shared space. Some things were easy to decide. He loved his extra large sectional couch, and I cherished my glass West Elm coffee table. The bedroom, however, remained more neutral ground. We decided it made sense to upgrade the mattress to mark the start of a new chapter. My criteria was finding something that immediately felt cozy and supportive but not stiff. As a true Taurus, I am not embarrassed to share that I spend hours lying in my bed, so finding a mattress that hit all the marks was nonnegotiable. After lots of consideration, we decided to try the Keetsa Pillow Plus Mattress ($1,590). Now that just over a month has gone by, I am ready to deliver a highly detailed, honest review.

About the Keetsa Pillow Plus Mattress

There are five sizes to choose from, ranging from twin to California king. I opted for the queen size, which measures 60" x 80" x 11".
The mattress consists of seven layers, including three types of foam, and individually wrapped coils for maximum support.
Delivery is fast and takes about two to three days to arrive. It comes rolled up in a large box, which is easy to unwrap. While it took maybe 20 minutes for the mattress to fluff up, it can take up to four weeks to fully settle in size.
Each mattress comes with a 90-night at-home sleep trial so you have more than enough time to make a decision.

What I Like About the Keetsa Pillow Plus Mattress

To preface, I have always been a good sleeper, so my ultimate test is not how many hours it takes me to drift off but how my body feels in the morning. From the very first night on the Keetsa, I was able to curl up and get a solid eight hours of rest. As someone who constantly changes positions throughout the night, it's not unusual for me to wake up with a random ache or pain - especially in my lower back. This mattress worked wonders in hugging all my pressure points to give my body a little extra support thanks to the brilliant combination of a memory-, comfort-, and high-density foam. I immediately noticed waking up pain free. This design really executes on the perfect level of firmness. It has a light memory foam feel while still being cozy and inviting.

For anyone who shares a bed, you know the next test is how well the mattress works for both of you. While I toss and turn, my boyfriend usually stays put on his side of the bed. In the past, my movement has regularly interrupted his sleep (sorry, I love you!), but the Keetsa totally solved that problem. The Pillow Plus features individually wrapped coils at the base of the mattress to help keep motion isolated, rather than it impacting the entire bed. This also helps prevent heat from building at the core of the mattress - a huge bonus for anyone who runs hot overnight.

Overall, it's safe to say we are huge fans of the Keetsa Pillow Plus. For all the years I spent trying to fix uncomfortable mattresses with layers of toppers or covers, I feel silly that this would have been an easy solve all along. It accommodates multiple sleep styles, is soft without sinkage, and prioritizes support and comfort - aka my sleep love language.

If you are someone who loves a mattress topper, this design already replicates that concept with the layer of extra padding on top. However, you can still add a formal topper if you want even more cushion. Since the foam and coils work together to hug your body as you move, you definitely get a good amount of support, making this ideal for back sleepers or sleeping with someone who has a different sleep style than you. I would say this mattress is perfect for someone who likes a soft memory foam feel, but still wants some structure and firmness.

Paris Hilton is a multi-generational icon, but she's especially beloved by millennials who remember her rise to fame during the 2000s. From her 21st birthday chainmail halter dress that's still emulated today to her trademark "That's Hot" saying, every hallmark of the Paris Hilton brand feels Y2K-coded and yet somehow timeless. So, the designer, entrepreneur, and mother-of-two was the perfect person to partner with the eternally-relevant Razr brand for their "Runway of Icons" event. "I've been part of the Motorola family for over 20 years, so getting to celebrate the next generation of Razr in a way that blends everything I love made it feel like such a full-circle moment," she tells Popsugar.

Hilton fondly remembers when the Razr first debuted, calling it "one of the first cell phones that felt like an aspirational accessory." "I loved customizing it by bedazzling it back then," she continues, "but with how many customizable options there are now in the razr design, I don't have to." Indeed it's hard to forget the cases littered with rhinestones that were attached to everyone's fingertips in the early 2000s. Today, her preferred razr phone is the new Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 in Pantone Orient Blue, which inspired her "Runway of Icons" look, styled by Danyul Brown. "He's such a creative force, and the way he translated my Orient Blue razr into this beautiful blue gown was amazing," she says.

Hilton posed on the red carpet in a sparkling Gaurav Gupta sheer-paneled gown before changing into a glittering custom Bryan Hearns minidress to hit the DJ booth. She says spinning hit records is just the beginning when it comes to her music plans for 2026. "It's going to be a huge year for my music – from celebrating the 20th Anniversary of "Stars are Blind" to returning to Tomorrowland," Hilton reveals. "I've also been in the studio working on my next album."
