Kendall Toole is one of our all-time favorite Peloton [1] instructors. Even though she left the Peloton platform last year, lucky for you, you can still catch her signature energy and playlists anytime, anywhere — now through her new wellness platform, NKO Club [2], which blends strength training, boxing, Pilates [3], music, mindset tools, and nourishing recipes. It's her modern take on a "country club for the misfits," offering the same high vibes, openness, and punchy motivation her community has always loved.
We caught up with Toole to talk about the must haves [4] that keep her grounded, energized, and ready for anything as she steps into her founder era.
Leaving Peloton and building something of her own brought surprising clarity. "I had known for a while that I wanted to forge my own identity in this space," she says. "Creating something new and betting on yourself can be overwhelming, . . . but I've found so much strength in showing up for myself day after day — and my community continues to buoy me."
Toole's also inspired by where fitness culture is headed. "I am so overjoyed seeing more women getting into strength training [5]," she shares. "It's so good for our bodies, both short- and long-term." She's equally excited about the rise of run clubs, IRL workout meetups, and wellness focused travel, trends she doesn't see slowing down anytime soon.
Despite her packed schedule, Toole protects her rituals. An ideal off-duty day starts early with a high-protein breakfast (she aims for around 40 grams), followed by a run or a gym session. Afternoons are reserved for hobbies that fuel her creatively — photography, guitar, dance classes, playlist-building, or even a spa moment with plenty of sauna [6] time. She loves cooking dinner at home to unwind, then closing the day with a show or book, palo santo, journaling, and a comforting stretch. And in true Toole fashion, she has her go-to comforts: The Great British Bake Off, chicken nuggets, and Bueno bars top the list.
