Take Our 7-Day Self-Care Challenge!

Self-care should be a priority, not an option, but we also understand that our busy lives don't always make that possible. What is doable, however, is committing to one act of wellness each day for a week. With our seven-day self-care challenge, we want you to put your mental and physical health at the forefront without being concerned about what anyone else wants. By doing things for yourself and listening to your needs, you'll feel your best and refreshed to tackle the week ahead. See ideas for Monday through Sunday, and get started today!

Monday: Splurge on your favorite workout class.

Fitness studios aren't always the most affordable to visit regularly, but it is a guilt-free indulgence compared to a new top or drinks. If you know you're going to leave a SoulCyle or Barry's Bootcamp class feeling amazing, go for it!

Other ideas:

  • Yoga at home.
  • Going for a scenic run.
  • Anything that gets you sweating.

We're attached to our devices all day, everyday, so dedicate a full evening to wireless relaxation. As soon as you step through your front door, turn off your phone, iPad, computer, and any other electronics you have. This will relieve you from constant notifications and allow you to connect with yourself instead of a device.

Other ideas:

Wednesday: Watch your favorite movie or show.

Wednesday: Watch your favorite movie or show.

We all have that one movie that we can watch over and over again. Grab some popcorn and rewatch your favorite flick or catch up on a series you've been neglecting for months. Escaping from reality for a little will do you some good, and cozying up on the couch is so hygge.

Thursday: Journal.

Not only does writing get the creative juices flowing, but it's also proven to reduce stress and anxiety. Take this opportunity to jot down your goals, concerns, feelings, gratitudes, or whatever else you feel like pouring out. You'll feel some sort of release, even if you're just talking about your day.

Friday: Declutter your space.

Set a 10-minute timer and try to clear off as many cluttered surfaces and put away as many stray items as you can. Once the timer goes off, you're done. Coming home to a messy place can stress you out even more, so head into the weekend on the right foot.

Other ideas:

  • Light some candles.
  • Add a fresh vase of flowers to your table.
  • Swap out your sheets for fresh ones.

Saturday: Say no to plans.

Forget FOMO, and set aside some quality time for yourself. We all need a break from friends, nights out, and brunch plans once in a while. Reserve your Saturday for activities you want to do, even if it's absolutely nothing.

Other ideas:

  • Take naps.
  • Listen to music.
  • Plan your next vacation.
Sunday: Pamper yourself.

Sunday: Pamper yourself.

Get ready for the upcoming week by relaxing and beautifying. Soak in a hot bath (bath bomb optional), give yourself a facial, repair damaged ends with a hair mask, or all of the above. It's all about recuperating and giving yourself the attention you deserve.

Other ideas:

  • Get a manicure-pedicure.
  • Get a massage.
  • Splurge on a spa day.
