That last question is really misleading. Wtf? You can't ask a question about the median home price of San Francisco and then factor in both Oakland, AND Fremont for the answer. We were looking at a house in Oakland that was decent, and it was only going for something like 545k. The same kind of house in the city would have been probably twice that.

Maybe I should move to Ohio... I wonder how many of these cities have rich suburbs that drive the average price way up. I'm just thinking that there are tons of houses in the suburbs around here going for 125-150k, but then there are lots of million dollar homes surrounding the lake, so the average home price is about $200k.

everything is higher than the average price for a home in Akron! I thought I would do better on this quiz though, oh well :(

100%! But the prices make me sad - I just put a downpayment on a "starter home" (an 824 sq ft apartment in Manhattan that needs both the bathroom and kitchen completely redone) that's larger than the average price of a home in Akron...

I am not shocked at some of these prices. That is why I am still saving 20%. "War is a quarrel between two thieves too cowardly to fight their own battle." Thomas Carlyle

Ha, the only one I got right is San Francisco, and that's probably because I'm from the area! The range of these prices sure is crazy.
