A big productivity tip I recommend is to embrace downtime. Too often -- especially during the first few weeks back at work after the holidays, when we're inundated with work -- we're tempted to motor through the whole workday without breaks. This accelerates burnout. Instead, divvy up the workday into short bursts of focus (maybe 20 to 40 minutes at a time) interspersed with periods of brief relaxation (a walk around the office, a lunch break, a quick meditation break). I get so much more work done using this strategy, and I feel much more relaxed than when I'm just trying to focus for 8 hours straight. I compiled some more unusual productivity strategies here: http://ridiculouslyefficient.com/2012/01/06/unconventional-productivity-strategies/ Cheers! Marissa
