We all look forward to an end-of-year bonus, but one man is taking things to the next level. Gary Bertch, the president of Bertch Cabinets in Iowa, announced to all 800 of his employees [1] that they will be going on a cruise on Jan. 8. Bertch, who founded the cabinet-making company with his wife, Becky, promised his employees a Caribbean cruise last year if they met their goals.
Well, the company accomplished their objectives so they're packing their suitcases! They will be taking a plane to Miami and staying the night in a five-star hotel to begin the trip. The next day they will head over to the port and climb aboard the ship, according to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier.
The whole company will be gone about a week. They will be using Carnival Cruises [2] for their big vacation. Who else has a boss this cool? This is the ultimate incentive and we're sure it was a great motivation for the employees. Happy sailing, Bertch Cabinets!
